Ellis Thanksgiving

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS THE THIRD UPDATE THAT I HAVE POSTED TODAY. BE SURE YOU KEEP SCROLLING TO SEE ALL THE PICTURES. THE OTHER POSTS ARE TITLED "OH CHRISTMAS TREE" AND "JACOB IN THE PARK"!

This weekend Jennifer and Jacob went to her parents house for a pre-thanksgiving Thanksgiving (I was at home with a fever). Jacob got to see some of his aunts and uncle as well as a few of his cousins (as well as a few other people which none of us are sure of their relation). Jacob enjoyed dragging different people around and even received his first hair cut from his great-aunt Brenda.

"But MeMe, I want you to come under the table with me!"

Jacob with other children.

Jacob is the unquestioned leader of the children.

Aunt Sheri...possibly confusing Jacob for the turkey.

Jacob's cousin Tori and his Aunt Sheri.

Jacob sweet talked Aunt Linda into walking him around outside.

Jacob hanging with MeMe and PawPaw.

Jacob decided he needed a better look at what hair style he was receiving.

Mommy had to step in once he got upset with the process. Actually he started crying when he saw and couldn't get to mommy.

Now he is upset with the process.

Pleased with his new style, Jacob points to the camera and says "Ka-chow!".

Oh Christmas Tree...

Jennifer and I worked hard Monday night re-arranging furniture so we could get the tree set up before leaving for Tyler. We put the tree up after Jacob went to bed (no ornaments yet) so I was anxious to see his reaction this morning. He didn't seem too sure about at it at first, but is slowly showing some bravery and approaching the tree.

As is normal, Jacob tore around the corner. However he stopped quickly upong spotting the tree (and moved furniture).

Jacob finally moved closer to the tree/me but never took his eyes off of it.

He began discussing the changes to himself and, wanting to be sure I was aware of the tree, began pointing it out to me.

Moving closer...

Jacob begins negotiations with the tree, letting it know that he means business.

After some assurance, Jacob closes the gap.

Mission accomplished.

Jacob in the Park

Several weeks ago I took Jacob to the park in Coppell. He loves going outside so I figured it be a fun time for him. That weekend we also took him to the playground at the school across from us. I hadn't had a chance to post any pictures of the fun because he got sick after that, then Jennifer then me. So finally, here is Jacob in the park! Thanksgiving and Christmas tree pictures coming soon!

Election Day Distraction

UPDATED: I added a few more pics to this post since election day!

With the day of the election upon us and all of the network's political pundits muse over who will win which state and in what way either candidate can win even though they didn't win another state (and so on), I thought I'd post a few pictures for when you need a break. So click mute as they show that red and blue U.S. map and enjoy some Jacob!
