The plane ride itself wasn't so bad for Jacob. The very first leg of the trip was rough for several reasons (woke up from his nap abruptly, past feeding time, confused parents). He did better with the other flights and even ended up flying solo with mommy and the final flight home. Long story that I am still not up to revisiting right now.
Everyone in Texas thought he was so adorable, sweet, quiet, and all those wonderful adjectives that we hope will stick with him through the years.
The past few weeks have involved Jacob becoming more verbal, more mobile and discovered his feet which is apparently cooler to him than his recently discovered hands. He can stay in the sitting position much longer without support (yes we are right there for the wobble still) and loves to stand up. This kid has very strong legs. He doesn't hate his belly time anymore. He can easily spin himself around on his back or belly. We think crawling is right around the corner.
Anywho, enough of the narrative. Let's get to the real reason all of you come here, because I know most of this isn't read because of questions that are asked :) Beware: since I was too busy to update last week, there are alot to see. Blog note: I did not put the bear on top of Jacob as has been suggested.
It was beside him and he started playing with it.

"Bellytime is for big boys like me!"
He works hard and he sleeps hard.
"How does a bear hug feel now, Blackie?!!"
"I scream in the face of danger!"
"Clap our feet and walk with hands, right?"
Those blue eyes are gonna melt hearts someday.
Don't worry Bryan, he knows he's promised to your daughter.
